What is Soy?
  • Soybean fiber is a sustainable textile fiber made from renewable natural resources. Soybean fiber is being marketed as “vegetable cashmere”, a new eco-friendly luxury textile. Manufactured by cutting-edge bio engineering. Proteins are extracted from leftover dregs of soybean oil/tofu/soymilk production. Then, through a process called wet-spinning, the protein liquids are forced through a spinneret to make liquid soy. Finally the soy is solidified to make soybean fiber.
Environmentally Friendly Option
  • Soy fabric production process is a “recycling” concept of turning waste into useful products. Result - greatly reduces impact on environment. All auxiliaries used in production of soybean fiber to produce fabric are of a harmless nature and are totally recyclable making the production a closed end process. Sustainable raw material waste (soybean dregs) is used as fodder or fertilizer.
Properties of Soy Blends
  • Luster like silk, with excellent drape.
  • Moisture Absorption similar to cotton, but ventilation superior to cotton.
  • Natural Bacteria Resistant elements are integrated in soybean fiber’s molecule chain.
  • Color Fastness & Fade Resistant – superior to silk.
