Sourcing
KTC has a truly global reach when it comes to sourcing apparel and home textiles. Orginially established as a manufacturing power, KTC has evolved into sourcing as the reatail world and KTC’s customers evolved. KTC’s first sourcing office, Canaren Egypt, was established in Cairo in 1999. KTC was sourcing similar type of products as KTC’s sales grew and demand could not be met solely on production by its factories Kazareen and Bahia.
Furthermore, KTC began producing and supplying the home textiles market in an impressive way by sourcing and manufacturing bed sheets and towels through Canaren Egypt. As markets changed and customers became more price conscious, KTC began sourcing from asia in 2002. Currently, KTC has its own sourcing offices in India and Bangladesh and has key strategic alliances with companies in china, Pakistan, Taiwan and Cambodia. KTC sources different products from these different countries depending on the requirements of its customers.
These products include not only apparel and home textiles products, but materials such as fabrics made from cotton and man made products. KTC also sources cotton yarn and synthetic yarns from India/China through its Indian operation to most manufacturing countries in the world: from china and Bangladesh to Egypt and Tunisia, all the way to Poland and Brazil. Truly global, this flexibility gives KTC the ability to offer and cover the different market segments, from the bottom of the price ladder and textiles requirements all the way to the top. As our slogan goes, from yarn to garment: no limits. No borders.
