What is Bamboo?
  • A regenerated cellulose fiber, produced from bamboo pulp, in a patented high tech process (bamboo – thick pulp – fine pulp – bamboo fiber – bamboo yarn – bamboo fabric).
Environmentally Correct thing to do
  • (in a paragraph) [Naturally friendly fiber which requires zero pesticides, soil disturbance, fertilizers or irrigation to grow. A soil renewable resource growing at a fast pace and needing only 3 years to harvest. Bamboo forests regenerate naturally. 100% biodegradable. Requires less dye stuff than regular cotton, modal or viscose. Moderate bleaching requirement which promotes an environmentally friendly positive.]
Properties of Bamboo Blends
  • Natural Wicking Properties – due to the micro-gaps inherent in the fabric after knitting, bamboo quickly absorbs moisture.
  • Cool – Bamboo fabric is breathable and can be 1-2 degrees cooler than clothing made with conventional fabrics.
  • Natural UV Protection – bamboo absorbs certain UV wavelengths.
  • Anti-Bacterial Properties – inherent “bamboo-kun”, an anti-bacterial bio-agent in bamboo fabrics, provides a natural anti-bacterial property.
  • Natural Sheen
  • Silky Cashmere-like Softness
